Why Mesa

What we see in Mesa

Mesa is our headquarters, not a market we service from somewhere else. When you call about a car in Dobson Ranch or Eastmark, you are talking to the company whose address is a few minutes away.

We buy across Dobson Ranch, Las Sendas, Eastmark, the Fiesta District, Red Mountain Ranch, Superstition Springs, Downtown Mesa and Alta Mesa, and we know the roads your claim adjuster is going to ask about: the US-60 Superstition, the Loop 202 Red Mountain and the Loop 101 Price.

What the gap actually looks like

A scrap-weight quote prices your car as metal. We price it as a vehicle, using year, make, model, trim, mileage and where the damage sits. On a 2016 Hyundai Sonata the scrap quote was $475 and we paid $1,350. On a 2020 Toyota Highlander XLE that the owner had been told was finished, we paid $12,500.

On the ground

The cars we actually collect in Mesa

Mesa sends us a lot of rear-end damage off the US-60, and a steady stream of cars that went through standing water on surface streets during monsoon season. The other Mesa constant is heat: interiors, dashes and clear coat cooked by a decade of parking outside. That kind of wear scares off private buyers but it does not change what the drivetrain is worth.

None of that disqualifies a car. Hail, flood, sun damage, denied claims, no keys, not running, sitting for a year. We buy all of it, and the pickup is free either way.

How it runs

Three steps, and the number does not move

Tell us about the car

Year, make, model, trim, rough mileage, what the damage is, whether it runs, your title situation, and where in Mesa it is sitting. Photos speed this up more than anything else.

Offer in writing, before dispatch

Nothing is dispatched until you accept it, and once you accept, that is what you are paid. We do not renegotiate in your driveway.

Free pickup, paid on the spot

Usually within 24 to 48 hours. Free even if the car does not run, has no keys or has not moved in a year. Paid in full before it is loaded.

Arizona paperwork

The MVD side, handled with you

Arizona does this differently from California, and two of the differences catch people out.

Your plates come off the car

In Arizona the plates belong to you, not the vehicle. Take them off before pickup. You then have 30 days to move them onto another car or surrender them for a refund of the unused fees.

Your title signature has to be notarized

Arizona requires the seller's signature on the back of the title to be notarized. Do not sign it in advance at the kitchen table. Tell us when you call and we will sort out the notary as part of the pickup rather than sending you to find one.

File the Sold Notice within 10 days

The Sold Notice is what ends your liability for the vehicle. File it with the MVD online within 10 calendar days of the sale. It is free and takes a couple of minutes, and it is what stops a towing bill or a citation finding its way back to you months later.

Salvage and lien situations are routine

If your insurer totaled the car and you kept it, it now carries an Arizona salvage title, and we buy those regularly. If there is still a loan, bring the lender's payoff information or the lien release and we will structure the purchase around it.

We are not attorneys and we are not the MVD. If your situation is unusual we will point you to the specific form rather than guess. The full FAQ goes into more detail.

Where we pick up

Anywhere in Mesa

Pickup is free everywhere we buy. Driveways, apartment and condo lots, storage facilities, body shops and tow yards are all routine.

Car sitting at a tow yard racking up storage? Say so when you call. That usually changes how fast we should move.

Trackwala was easy to work with and overall I had a good experience with them. I would recommend using this company when selling your junker car.
