Three steps, in this order, every time. No step is skipped and no number moves between them.

A missing title. An insurer that totaled the vehicle and let you keep it. An open lien. A car racking up storage at a tow yard. No keys. Hail or flood damage.
None of these are problems. They change which forms we prepare, and telling us up front is what keeps the timeline short.
Be accurate about the damage. Our offer holds because it was built on real information. The only thing that can move it is discovering the vehicle is materially different from the description.
We price the vehicle as a vehicle. Year, make, model, trim, mileage, and the location and type of damage set the number. Weight does not.
That distinction is the whole business. A scrap-based quote on a 2016 Sonata came to $475. Our offer was $1,350, and that is what the seller was paid. On a 2020 Highlander XLE we paid $12,500. If your car is newer than about a decade, the difference between these two pricing methods is usually measured in thousands.
The vehicle, the amount, and what the amount includes. Nothing is dispatched until you accept it, and once you accept it the number is settled. We do not renegotiate in your driveway.
Most pickups happen within 24 to 48 hours of acceptance.
Pickup is free. It is not deducted from the offer and there is no fee if the vehicle does not run, has no keys, has flat tires, or has not moved in two years. Our trucks are equipped for non-running vehicles.
You are paid in full at pickup, before the vehicle is loaded and gone.
Offer to payment is typically one to two days. Our fastest closed in ten hours from first contact to money in hand.
What stretches it: a missing title, a lender that is slow with payoff figures, or a vehicle at a facility with access restrictions. We will tell you which of these apply on the first call, rather than after you have committed.
Arizona requires the seller's title signature to be notarized. This is the single most common thing that stalls a sale here, because people sign the title at home first and only find out afterwards. Leave it blank and we will arrange the notary as part of the pickup.
The Sold Notice tells the MVD you no longer own the vehicle, and it is what actually ends your liability. File it online within 10 calendar days of the sale. It is free, takes a couple of minutes, and it is what stops a towing bill or a citation finding its way back to you.
In Arizona the plates belong to you, not the car. Remove them before pickup, then you have 30 days to move them to another vehicle or surrender them for a refund of the unused fees.
Owner-retained salvage vehicles are routine purchases for us, as are vehicles with an outstanding loan. Bring the payoff information and we structure the purchase so the lien is satisfied and you receive the balance.
We are not attorneys and we are not the MVD. If your situation is unusual we will point you to the specific form rather than guess. The FAQ covers titles, liens, plates and emissions in more detail.
